Bunco

Bunco was sooo much fun last night! If you know of a group around you, I definitely recommend you go! It was nice to have a little "me" time out of the house. And the look on my sweet baby's face when I came home was the BEST part of my day! He was so happy that I was home! That makes all the hard work worth it! It was his little way of say "I love you, Mommy"! He's the best!

Happy Birthday...

to......ME!!! haha! Today is my 27th birthday. I don't really have anything special planned. I'm playing Bunco for the first time with some of my friends tonight. I'm pretty excited about that. You know you're getting old when Bunco on your birthday excites you....haha! Oh well, it should be fun. I have had so many friends and family call or write to me today and it has really made me feel special! I appreciate every one of them! It has been the best part of my day!

Last week was VBS at my church. Me and four other girls in my Sunday School class had a room full of 3 years olds. And by a room full, I mean about 20. It was a lot of fun. All of us teachers enjoyed getting to know each other better and I think the kids had fun too. I definitely plan on doing it again next year.

That's about all that's been going on around here lately. This week everything is back to normal and me and the baby are just recovering. Now we are looking forward to going to the beach with my family next month! Can't wait!

Why???

Right now I'm sitting here (baby's napping) trying to figure out why in the world I left my parent's house and came back here last weekend. OK, I know that sounds bad. But seriously! My husband is having to work loooonnngg hours everyday and it's starting to get to me. Not that I need help with the baby, I just miss him...A LOT! I miss my friends back home and my family too. It was so nice to be around everybody for that week. It's really hard living this far from them. It would be nice if I could just drive down the road to see them every time I got bored or lonely. Really I do know why I came back here last weekend.....Adam. Point blank, it sucked not seeing my wonderful husband everyday. I love being with him (even it is for 2 hrs in the evening). I guess we just have to sacrifice things sometimes.......

Anyway, VBS (vacation bible school) is next week. Better enjoy the quiet time now! Haha!

A Week Of Fun, Friends, and Family

WOW! Where do I start! The past week was sooo much fun! Two Saturdays ago (does that make sense?) I decided that I would take the baby to my parent's house in Alabama. We hadn't been there in a few months, so I figured it was time. Plus, we were already planning on being there for the 4th so I figured why wait??? So Adam took us and we met my parents half way in Mississippi. We had such a good week! I got to see one of my good friends and her son that I haven't seen in about 4 years, layout by the pool everyday, hangout with my bestie and her little girl, eat LOTS of Taco Casa (like everyday!), and spend tons of time with my parents and brother! Here's a little recap......

Sunday me and the baby went to church with my parents (Big Pape and Nona). It's the church I grew up in so I always enjoy going back and seeing everyone. Then that afternoon my best friend Melissa's daughter, Marley, had her 2nd birthday party. I can't believe she's 2 already! So me, the baby, and Nona (my Mom) went over there for a little while. It was so cute, Dora themed!

Monday me and the baby met up with my friend Kendra and her little boy Nate. I haven't seen Kendra in about 4 years, so I have never met Nate (he'll be 3 in November). We met at Taco Casa, ate, and talked and talked and talked. It was so good to see her again. We picked up right where we left off! I can't believe I went that long without seeing her, we definitely won't go that long again!

Tuesday my brother, Kyle, came to town from New York. I never get to see him since he live so far away and he's only seen the baby once since he was born. I went with Pape (my Dad) to pick him up from the airport that night. He didn't get in until about 9:30. It was really good to see him too, we are really close and I miss him already!

Wednesday me, the baby, and Uncle Kyle just relaxed by the pool and didn't do too much. Thursday me and the baby went back over to Melissa and Marley's house. It was Marley's actual birthday. We visited, the babies played, and we lounged around in Marley's baby pool she got for her birthday. There was nothing "baby" about this baby pool. All of 4 of us fit in it....comfortably. Actually, we could have fit a couple more people in there! HA!

Friday Adam came! YAY! I missed him so much while we were there. So did the baby! His face lit up when he saw Adam. He just laughed and laughed. It was the cutest thing ever! Later that day my Granny, Papa, Aunt Sheila, Uncle Steve, cousin Lisa, her husband Jason, and their four kids (Austin, Hunter, Cole, and Maggie) came in from Georgia. It was my Granny's 83rd birthday so we had a little party for her that night. Did I mention I made the cake???? Haha! It turned out good and everyone loved it (sigh of relief, ha).

Saturday the 4th, we had a FUN and LOOONNNGGG day. We had a corn hole championship going on (if you've never played that you totally should, it is a lot of fun). Me and Kyle placed 2nd, my cousin Hunter and his Dad Jason won. We all swam, shopped, and ate (too much). Then that night we had karaoke and fireworks. My parent's really know how to throw a party. It was a blast!

Sunday we had to get up early and drive home. Adam had to work a little that evening so we had to hurry back.

It was a really great week! I can't wait to go again. I'm already missing everyone so much. It so nice to be around family and friends that love and care about you. There really is "no place like home"!

Hope everybody had a great 4th of July weekend!
